Hunter College is proud to be an institutional member of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD) since 2017. NCFDD is a nationally recognized center dedicated to helping faculty, post-docs, and graduate students make successful transitions throughout their academic careers. NCFDD provides professional development and mentoring through a host of resources that are applicable across all fields of inquiry. To activate your Hunter College institutional membership, visit

2. ACERT (Academic Center for Excellence in Research and Teaching)

ACERT seeks to promote excellence in teaching and research at Hunter. In collaboration with key offices, the Center integrates existing faculty development activities with new workshops and seminars based on input from faculty and Hunter’s academic community. These seminars allow participants to share and discuss high-impact practices that faculty can incorporate into their teaching and research. The Center fosters a community in which faculty use innovative pedagogy, technology, and assessment to enhance their activities as teachers and scholars, and thus to facilitate engaged learning. To learn more and find out about upcoming events, visit
